As an emerging program, my focus is on continuing to take my time to learn so that I can produce healthy, stable, versatile, functional Beaucerons that adhere to the breed standard. With limited and highly selective breedings, each pairing is planned with purpose.

I understand that navigating the process of purchasing from a reputable breeder can feel daunting, especially for first time buyers. Our application process exists not only to gatekeep from unscrupulous buyers, but to ensure each puppy is thoughtfully matched to a home where they’ll thrive. Ethical preservation breeding takes time, care, and transparency, for all involved.

Whether you're hoping to join our waitlist, learn more about responsible breeding, our practices, or simply follow along, this is the place to start.

Why Purchasing from an Ethical, Preservation Breeder Matters

An ethical preservation breeder isn’t just someone who breeds dogs. They’re someone deeply committed to protecting a breed’s health, structure, temperament, and purpose.

They breed with intention to ensure the breed remains sound, functional and true to its history. They follow recognized breed standards, conduct full health testing, earn titles that prove ability and temperament, and are active within the breed community and greater dog community to support ongoing health research and animal welfare initiatives that helps all companion animals.

Puppies from breeders who are truly dedicated to them are raised with immense care, socialized appropriately, and are placed thoughtfully based on individual temperament, not order on a list. These breeders also offer lifelong support and guidance, and takes responsibility for every dog they produce, no matter what.

When you choose a reputable, ethical breeder, you’re not just investing in your future companion, you’re supporting higher standards of canine welfare. Because every dog, regardless of breed, deserves to be well bred, healthy in body, sound in mind, and cherished for life. Truly reputable and ethical breeders understand the gravity of their lifelong responsibility to their own dogs and the families they are placed with.

Healthy Bodies

Ethical breeders go beyond basic vet checks by performing thorough genetic, orthopedic, and breed specific health testing to reduce risk and set puppies up for a healthy life. An ethical breeder tracks all of their puppies to watch for trends, anomalies and to be there for support.

Sound Minds

Through careful selection and socialization, these breeders aim to produce dogs with reliable temperaments and predictable traits. They’re also in it for the long haul, offering guidance and support for the life of your dog.

Breed Preservation

Every thoughtfully bred litter helps preserve the structure, purpose, and working ability that define the breed. Ethical breeders don’t just make puppies, they work to preserve history, function, and contribute to the breed’s long-term well-being through health testing and community involvement.

About Our Puppies

As a small, emerging program, I have chosen to approach each of our limited and carefully selected breedings with care and purpose. I don’t run a large kennel; and currently only pursue pairings that I would like to keep something from.

I believe confident, well adjusted puppies come from parents with stable temperaments and from early, consistent socialization. Following Jane Lindquist’s Puppy Culture Program and Avidog, I hope to introduce essential skills and expose puppies to varied environments and challenges to foster adaptability and resilience from an early age.

Most of our dogs remain with us for life, but occasionally older dogs or adults from trusted breeders could become available. If you’re interested in skipping the puppy stage, I encourage you to complete an application, you never know when the right match may arise.

Puppy Raising

We have seen fantastic results from breeders who follow Jane Lindquist's evidence based puppy raising protocols to raise and evaluate for mentally resilient, adaptable, and friendly family dogs. We have opted to do follow the protocol as it sets the stage for welladjusted dogs by matching experiences to the pup’s readiness and personality. From birth to the day they go home, puppies receive:

  • Daily Early Neurological Stimulation to stimulate neurological and stress-response systems.

  • Gentle handling, and sensory exposure (sights, sounds, weird things, other pets, loud tools etc.).

  • Social experiences with humans of all types, safe dogs, livestock, adventures in the car and to appropriate public settings for exposure.

  • Introduction to foundational obedience: sit/wait, crate & potty training, clicker conditioning, leash familiarity, recall, and resource guarding mitigation.

  • Emotional resilience activities like sound desensitization, problem-solving, and exposure to novel objects and settings.

  • Early handling and grooming exposure via bathing, nail grinding, blow drying and being handled by veterinary staff and other professionals such as physiotherapists and chiropractors to become familiar with strangers and tolerant of professional handling and body manipulation.

All of this does not mean that your puppy will arrive perfectly trained or that your responsibility for socialization is done. But it does mean we’ve invested time and care into giving each puppy a strong foundation. Through early socialization, handling, and exposure to everyday necessary experiences, we aim to set them up for a smoother transition to their new homes where their socialization and training can continue.

Puppy Matching

We plan to use a combination of structural evaluation, temperament testing, and weeks of hands-on observation to match each puppy to the most suitable home. Between 6-8 weeks of age, puppies undergo several assessments.

  • Structural assessments evaluate each puppy’s overall structure, movement, and dentition. Assessing structure is essential because it helps ensure that the breeding met its goals and that we are producing sound, well built dogs. Physical soundness is a non-negotiable for long-term health, performance, and quality of life.

  • Temperament evaluations are ongoing. Following the Puppy Culture protocol and incorporating third-party assessments such as the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test and Avidog’s Puppy Evaluation System allows us to gain deeper insight into each dog's personality.

  • We also consider each home’s experience, goals, and lifestyle. This is why we encourage applicants to be as detailed and honest as possible—transparent communication helps us make the best match.

Puppy selections are made by us, however, no one is ever obligated to accept a placement that doesn’t feel right. We are here to guide the process with care, integrity, and a commitment to the wellbeing of both puppy and family.

While we gladly consider preferences such as sex or color, our priority is always the individual fit. Those with specific requests may need to be willing to wait until a suitable puppy is available.

Our Application Process

If you’re interested in a Goblinhollow puppy, there is a thoughtful process in place that is designed to ensure the best match for both puppy and family. Beaucerons aren’t the right fit for everyone, nor am I the right breeder for everyone. My responsibility is to carefully vet applicants so each puppy finds a suitable and loving family.

I don’t operate on a first-come, first-served basis nor am I interested in meeting the desires of a waitlist. While some wait over a year, the right match can happen quickly depending on your needs and timing. The application process is straightforward, and once you’re on the list, I’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

Approved applicants are the first to hear of upcoming Goblinhollow puppies. Our first litter is quietly taking shape, being held near and dear to our hearts. If you feel we may be the right fit and wish to stay in the loop as our plans unfold, we invite you to apply now.
