Biscuit is the dog who started it all, and what a journey it’s been. Together, we’ve explored nearly every dog sport imaginable, but Biscuit’s true talents have shone brightest in IGP (especially tracking), Herding, and Harness Sports.

At heart, Biscuit is a sweetheart with a mischievous streak. I often say his mission in life is to inspire both laughter and humility. He embodies the quintessential slow maturing male Beauceron: intelligent, silly, independent, thoughtful and loyal. He thrives under firm, consistent handling, is never quick to forget a slight, yet always open to forgiveness. Biscuit is a dog who flourishes in a relationship built on mutual respect and shared effort. Working with him has been as rewarding as it has been challenging.

Once outgoing and social, Biscuit has, as is typical, become more reserved with age. He remains tolerant when needed but has grown more selective in his interactions with unfamiliar dogs and uninterested in most strangers. Even so, he has repeatedly proven his stability in new environments. He is my steadfast travel companion and guardian, a patient mentor to puppies, and a reliable presence around livestock. Despite his higher-than-average prey drive, he remains respectful and safe in working environments.
